visas
Are you currently working in Australia as a medical doctor on a sponsored 457 or
interested in a 475 Visa?
If so, there have been recent changes to Australian 457 and 475 Visa conditions.
Temporary Business (Long Stay) - Standard Business Sponsorship (Subclass 457)
If you are currently working as a sponsored medical doctor on a 457 Visa,
recent changes now allow you to work as a locum outside the hours of your sponsored workplace (as long as the locum work you undertake does not impact your sponsored workplace).
This allows you to work as a locum during weekends, holidays, rostered days off and annual leave.
