The Position

We are looking for multiple Full-time and Part-time Resident Medical Officers for opportunities in Tasmania. Positions are commencing from 10 June 2024 working up to 76 hours per fortnight.

You will be responsible for the day to day management of private and public inpatients and outpatients within the Hospital (or rural facility). Provide after-hours emergency cover as determined by the relevant work unit. Rotations to Rural Practice sites across the state are available.

You will be based at one of the best training hospitals in the country, offering an exciting opportunity for Resident level candidates. You will have be given exposure to a range of clinical areas that will provide an opportunity to expand your skills and knowledge in a supportive environment.

Essential Criteria

  • General or unconditional registration with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Current Working with Children Registration (where applicable and as determined by individual position requirements)
  • Occupant will be required to participate in after-hours work
  • Must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, a New Zealand citizen or hold a current valid working Visa within Australia

The Package

  • Resident Medical Officers Level 2 - 4 $92,500 - $105,000 per annum, pro rata + 11% superannuation + access to salary packaging
  • You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
