- 24 hour on call Monday - Fridays
- The Locum Oncologist will provide 24 hour on call care from 08:00 each Monday through to 08:00 each Saturday. On call services will be provided remotely each Friday to enable the incumbent to meet with the verifying Pharmacist and Metropolitan based specialists. (Travel and accommodation arrangements will be included where necessary). Weekend review and consultation of oncology patients will be provided by the duty oncologist rostered from the Rural Support Service. Re the on-call roster, phone call advice or call-in has an average of 1 every other day, hence, not overwhelming.
- There is also a fortnightly Multi-Disciplinary Team Meeting chaired by the Surgical Team at Mount Gambier and Districts Health Service and the expectation would be for the incumbent to partake in this session.

A Southern SA hospital requires a Specialist in Internal Medicine commencing
1. 08:00 on Monday 23 December 2019 up to 08:00 Friday 27 December 2019 (inclusive);
2. 08:00 on Monday 30 December 2019 up to 08:00 Wednesday 01 January 2020 (inclusive);
3. 08:00 Monday 06 January 2020 up to 08:00 Saturday 11 January 2020 (inclusive);
4. 08:00 Monday 20 January 2020 up to 08:00 Saturday 01 February 2020 (inclusive).
The incumbent will be required to work in liaison with the onsite Oncology team to provide outpatient clinics and will also be required to work closely with general practitioners, visiting and resident specialists, metropolitan specialists and the Cancer Planning team in the Rural Support Service on matters pertaining to oncology services. The locum Oncologist is required to provide both inpatient consultation care and outpatient clinic care and will also be required to attend a weekly meeting in Adelaide to discuss patient chemotherapy medication and care requirements with the Lyell McEwin Hospital verifying Pharmacist.
