- Daily duties - GP obstetrician duties include: involvement in complicated labours, elective and emergency C Sections and other instrumental interventions, daily ward rounds, outpatient obstetrics and gynaecology clinic, phone discussions and advice for remote doctors and midwives, involvement in high risk patient meetings, scheduled perinatal reviews, M&Ms etc, ward based teaching as appropriate, supervision of medical students when assigned to the ward, review of pregnant and gynaecology patients presenting to ED as requested, care of the newborn, with special reference to the unwell neonate, with ability to resuscitate, cannulate and stabilise
- General duties include work in ED and the general medical/surgical ward as required - Involvement in handover meetings, teaching sessions and other hospital reqs
