The Position
Skilled Medical are currently seeking applications from junior doctors looking for a 12 month position in rural Australia. A generous salary is on offer as well as free accommodation and an Inaccessibility Allowance of $34 500 per annum ($17 250 payable at the completion of each six months).
Health Service
This rural hospital has recently undergone extensive redevelopment and includes a new Emergency Department, new Outpatients Department, Mental Health (Outpatient) Unit, a Cancer care Centre and a Paediatrics Unit. The Emergency Department sees approximately 28,000 to 32,000 presentations per annum. An extremely varied mix of presentations gives clinical staff many opportunities to gain hands-on experience in procedural work and broad clinical experience.
The Location
It is the referral hospital for the North West region and it is also a RFDS base providing rural retrievals and transfers.
Essential Criteria
Doctors will need to be AHPRA registered or at least be eligible to apply for registration via the Competent Authority Pathway.
