- Accommodation, Car and Travel Provided - part time availability considered
- This position will be required to undertake ward rounds of the inpatient unit from 0800 until completion for patients not under the care of the local doctors. Then cover the emergency department from 1800 to 0800. You are required to be onsite from 1800 until 2300 then on call until 0800. Clinical handover between doctors must occur at the start of the shift at 1800.
- Whilst on call from 2300 until 0800 you are required to attend the emergency department if you are requested to attend by a member of the Forbes nursing staff. You are also required to assist the on-call Obstetrician in the event of an emergency caesarean. Forbes hospital has approximately 220 births per year of these we have a caesarean rate of about 25%. Therefore this requirement occurs about once a month.
