The Position
The Medical Officer is an integral part of the primary healthcare team at the correctional facility and is primarily responsible for:
• the provision and supervision of medical care to patients,
• providing medical input to clinically related matters,
• evaluation of medical programs and medical services required and/or provided,
• working as an integral part of the health care team for the site and for Australasia.
The Medical Officer coordinates hours of service and on call responsibilities in consultation with the Health Services Manager.
PD available upon request.

Work in Australia:
To work in Australia you will need to be registered as a Medical Professional with the Australian Medical Board/AHPRA.
The AHPRA registration requirements for these positions are:Candidates must hold UK Medical graduate (primary) qualifications or PLAB certification to obtain AHPRA Medical Board of Australia registration.
