A Northern NSW hospital requires a Specialist in Surgery, as detailed below:
Applicable Period (on call only): Monday, 0800 10 September 2018 to 0800 14 September 2018 – on call only.
Qualifications Required:
• Eligible for full registration with the Medical Board.
• Has Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and/or other Specialist recognition as provided for under the Health Insurance Act 1973.
• Extensive recent experience as a General Surgeon in an acute hospital setting.
• Demonstrated commitment to teaching and continuing education.
• Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively as part of a team and provide leadership of a team.
Remuneration: $2000 per day (all-inclusive hours)
Allowances:
• Return airfares from any Australian city, cap of $450 return applicable. Some negotiation may be available.
• Luxury Accommodation (one bedroom) provided for period of stay with the locum required to arrive the evening prior and depart either late the last contracted date evening upon completion of the session or the next morning.
• Hire Car ($50 per day car hire cap)
• Locum VMO’s may prefer to drive and are able to claim reimbursement for kilometres via their VMO Claim.
• VMO Claims are to be completed online via V-Money Web, as per NSW Ministry of Health requirements.
