The Position
Skilled Medical currently has several career opportunities in the Darling Downs region for Rural Generalists.
The health service is looking for the following rural generalists in the respective locations:
Senior Medical Officer with advanced procedural skill/s
Senior Medical Officer/General Practitioner with experience or interest in indigenous health
Senior Medical Officer with Right of Private Practice
The health service region is happy to negotiate with candidates rostering arrangements that suit their needs.
The position provides an attractive total remuneration package, including rural inaccessibility allowances up $41,500 AUD.
Accommodation will be provided by the health service for the duration of the contract.
Health Service
Positions are available in emergency departments, attached hospital GP clinics and connected Aboriginal Medical Services.
Location
This fertile farming region hosts one of Australia's largest in-land cities and is relatively close distance to Brisbane.
Essential Criteria
Doctors must already hold general or specialist registration with AHPRA. It is preferred for applicants to have fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of General Practitioners, and the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine. Experience Senior Medical Officers without fellowship or vocational registration, and rural generalist working towards completion of their training will also be considered.
