The Position
Skilled Medical has an exciting career opportunity for a Specialist Emergency Medicine Physician (FACEM) to undertake a permanent Clinical Director/Staff Specialist role in a Tasmania health service.
The position is ideal for a FACEM looking to build upon both practical and clinical leadership experience in a well established and active emergency department.

Health Service
The main facility is a modern 150+ bed hospital with research and training links to major Australian universities. The health service offers a full range of specialist, medical services and emergency services to a population of 116,000.
The Emergency Department is accredited for advanced training in Emergency Medicine by ACEM, and for emergency medicine certificate and diploma courses.
The department treats a broad range of patients including major trauma cases, and has an annual attendance rate of 27,600 patients per year with a 28% admission rate.

Essential Criteria
Candidates must hold Fellowship with the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine.
Overseas candidates eligible for the specialist pathway with AHPRA and assessed as partially or substantially comparable with ACEM may also be considered.
