• This position will be based in Ballina but may be required to attend Lismore Base Hospital at times as above.
• The Specialist will be required to cover the following weekly clinics at Ballina: 0800hours Tuesday until Thursday 1700hours (full day clinics at Ballina) There is a Registrar Clinic that runs concurrently every Thursday There is an opportunity to extend for up to two months while we undertake recruitment Monthly clinics at Kyogle Hospital and Jullums Lismore are also part of this position and are usually an additional Monday (full day). This position also participates in the Lismore acute after hours on call roster (usually Friday to Sunday) on a 1:5
• Lismore Base Hospital is a regional referral Level 5 base hospital with state-of-the-art operating theatre suite, ICU/CCU, imaging, Cardiac Cath Lab and most major specialties and subspecialties. The Lismore Base Hospital Emergency Department is a comprehensive level 5 Emergency Department and is the designated Trauma Centre for Northern NSW with on-site roof top helipad as part of our Retrieval Service. The Paediatrician will be required to cover clinics as well as acute inpatient and on call duties at Lismore Base Hospital. Supervision and teaching of Junior Medical Officers is also a requirement
