Hospital Obstetrics and Gynaecology Service provides care for 500-550 births per year and a specialist obstetrics and gynaecology clinics.
The O&G CMO role includes the following duties:
• Daily ward rounds Monday to Friday with the on-call doctor attending weekend ward rounds
• General O&G ward duties including discharge summaries
• Assessments of women presenting to the maternity unit
• ED gynaecology consults
• Assisting at O&G theatre lists
• Support specialist run O&G clinics (CMOs don’t have their own clinic but may be called to help the specialist in their clinic)
• Participate in an on-call roster
