SHIFT INFORMATION:
Rehabilitation:
The rehabilitation service has 61 beds, across three units.
Shift times are 8:30am to 5:00pm.
There is a handover each morning at 8:45am in the Conference Room.
There are usually 4 Rehabilitation Registrars, each managing about 15 patients.
There are 2-3 Rehabilitation Psychiatrists. They are present for the main rounds (Care Coordination Reviews), as well as for Mental Health Review Tribunal hearings, and for patient reviews
Rehab is supported by:
-allied health teams, including occupational therapists, social workers and psychologists.
-a GP, present for 4-5 hours/week, to assist in the management of medical comorbidities such as diabetes,
metabolic syndrome, health screening, etc.
