The Position
We are looking for multiple Psychiatric Service Registrars for Full time or Part Time Fixed Term appointments for up to 12 months in Regional Western Australia.
Under the supervision of a Consultant Psychiatrist or a Senior Medical staff member, this position provides assessment, management for clients requiring specialist psychiatric care. The Psychiatric Service Registrar will also provide advice to referrers and colleagues whilst working with clients both in the community and those attending the hospital.

Essential Criteria
- Must have general registration with AHPRA or be eligible for provisional AHPRA registration via the Competent Authority Pathway. Demonstrated clinical and procedural experience in Psychiatry.
- Demonstrated clinical skills and relevant experience working with clients with mental health problems.
- Effective communication/interpersonal skills.
- Effective organisation and time management skills.
- Demonstrated experience and ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
The Package
The advertised salary range is based on the following classifications under the WA Health System –Medical Practitioners - AMA Industrial Agreement 2022. The ranges below are inclusive of base salary, professional development allowance, 11% superannuation and on call allowance (North of 26th Parallel only). The classification will be based on but not limited to factors such as your qualifications, experience, type of medical registration and location of the role.
- Registrar Year 1 to 7 – South of 26th Parallel - $139,308 to $185,952
- Senior Registrar Year 1 to 2 – South of 26th Parallel - $203,839 to $213,086
- Registrar Year 1 to 3 – North of 26th Parallel - $162,528 to $177,760
