A Metropolitan NSW hospital requires Registrar/PHO in Internal Medicine for the following date(s).

from 09/06/2025 14:00 to 14/06/2025 22:00 at $120 per hour
Monday 9th June PH Reg 0800-2100
Tuesday 10th June Evening Reg 1400-2200
Wednesday 11th June Evening Reg 1400-2200
Thursday 12th June Evening Reg 1400-2200
Friday 13th June Evening Reg 1400-2200
Saturday, 14th June Weekend AH 0800-2100
Saturday 21st June Weekend AH 0800-2100
Clinical Team Structure
The case mix is variable as the responsibility is to review unwell patients as the need arrives during the shift. Issues requiring review range from minor patient concerns to acutely unwell patients who may require involvement of ICU +/- transfer as appropriate. The Registrar is supported by 2 x JMOs who support the registrar in the registrar assessment and management.
Registrar will be trained to attend stroke calls between the hours 1400 – 2200.They will handover to the Night Registrar and remain on the overlapping shift until 2200, completing necessary tasks and holding stroke and cert pager until that time .
PGY 1 and PGY 2 cover the hospital on after hours shifts. One is responsible for the surgical wards, in addition to Rehabilitation and outlying patients on the O&G and Paediatric wards and assists during surgical procedures as required. The other is responsible for the medical wards as well as Adult Mental Health and Medical assessment unit. During a shift they are responsible for reviewing unwell patients in a timely manner, with an expectation that they escalate concerns to the medical registrar who supervises them.
