• This emergency department is staffed by a highly qualified team of Career Medical Officers, Emergency Specialists and Nursing staff who provide care to patients of all ages with critical and acute illness
• Patients are assessed upon arrival, and those with the most urgent medical need are seen first
• The department works closely with other facilities within the Northern NSW Local Health District, and if necessary, patients may be transferred to another site for continuing care
